Empordà is a natural and historical region situated at the northeast corner of Catalonia. Habitats are composed by mediterranean scrubs, rocky coasts, coastal marshes and agricultural land. These are protected within the Natural Parks of “Cap de Creus” and “Aiguamolls de l’Empordà”.

Spectacled Warbler, Western Orphean Warbler, Red-rumped Swallow, Moustached Warbler, Lesser Kestrel, Ortolan Bunting, Tawny Pipit, Black-eared Wheater, Great Spotted Cuckoo, Iberian Green Woodpecker, European Roller, Bonelli’s Eagle, Short-toed Snake Eagle, migrating passerines and waders.

1 day visits are possible, starting early. It can be extended or combined with other areas, for example, Eastern Pyrenees.

All year round, but especially interesting during spring migration.
