Ebro Delta

The Ebro Delta is one of the most important wetlands in the Mediterranean. Rice fields cover extensive parts of it, providing habitat for many bird species at different times of the year. Large coastal lagoons, salt pans, reedbeds, sandy beaches and shallow bays are common as well. It is protected as a Natural Park and a also Ramsar Convention Site.

During the tour you will visit all these different habitats and enjoy its birds and wildlife. You can also enjoy one of the excellent Delta rice dishes at a local restaurant.

Slender-billed Gull, Audouin’s gull, Greater Flamingo, different species of Terns, Lesser short-toed Lark, Western Swamphen, Moustached Warbler, waders –including frequent rarities–, waterfowl, Purple Heron, Little Bittern, Squaco Heron, Bluethroat… and many more. Ebro Delta is a bird paradise!
