Pacific Diver mornings, Great Bustard afternoons

Today we had the chance to see the Pacific Diver at Civan Reservoir, in neighbouring Aragon, found some days ago by Esther Yera. A true rarity in Spain, moreover, so far away from the coast.

In the afternoon we had time to visit the nearby Monegros steppelands and could find 12 Great Bustards, despite the strong and cold winds sweeping the area.

Pacific Diver and Great Bustard on the same day makes for a pretty odd mix. But this is birding and we wouldn’t want it any other way!
